The Marvel’s Avengers version of the costume looks much like the version from the film, as Iron Man’s suit has some dents on the chest. He’s also missing his helmet, with the most memorable part of the skin being the Infinity Stones on Tony’s gauntlet and the glowing veins spreading up his arm. While the suit may be a one-off, it could also be the start of a new trend for the game’s MCU skins.

More Battle Damaged Suits in Marvel’s Avengers
If this damaged Endgame armor for Iron Man sells well, perhaps Crystal Dynamics will consider adding similar outfits to the marketplace. The developer has already added a majority of the best MCU suits to Marvel’s Avengers, so it is surely running out of options when it comes to future movie-related additions. While more films and shows will mean more costumes for certain characters, others, like Iron Man, will be getting no new MCU suits. As such, battle damaged variants could be a good way to keep the MCU content coming.
It is easy to imagine some of the variants that could be added that show the wear and tear caused by a tough fight. For instance, a variant of the homemade suit from Spider-Man: Homecoming could be provided that shows Peter without his mask, with his face being bloodied and bruised. The same thing could happen with a variant of the Captain America: The First Avenger costume, with players able to wear a version without a helmet that shows a bloodied Steve Rogers - a look taken straight from the finale of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The best opportunites for battle damaged costumes are tied to Thor and The Incredible Hulk. In the case of the former, a version of the Thor: Ragnarok costume that removes one of the God of Thunder’s eyes could be released, a nod to his look after Hela has sliced his face. As for the latter, a version of Hulk’s Avengers: Endgame suit could be provided that features the heavily damaged arm that was seen after he snapped his fingers.
How the community would respond to cosmetics like this is anyone’s guess. While some would surely be on board with the idea of getting even more MCU suits in Marvel’s Avengers, others have already complained about how rarely comic book suits are added in comparison. The battle damaged Endgame armor for Iron Man does look great and will be a worthy inclusion, but there is certainly a slippery slope to keep in mind, as some variants would only be making minor changes. Perhaps those that own the original version of the costume could get discounts on the damaged versions, making the additions less controversial.
Ultimately, though, this is just speculation based on a leak. There is a good chance that the new Endgame Iron Man suit is a one and done due to how iconic the “I am Iron Man” moment has become. At the same time, variants of some current MCU suits could be a good way to fill the marketplace with new costumes for each hero, and they would likely take less effort to make than a fully new suit. For now, all fans can do is wait and see if this upcoming Iron Man outfit is the first of many.
Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
