The “Groot Canal” Trophy/Achievement is more difficult than most, as it is almost entirely luck-based, and can only be unlocked during two specific chapters in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. This guide will detail the best way to activate the specific set of circumstances needed to get the “Groot Canal” Trophy/Achievement.

Groot Canal Trophy / Achievement Guide for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
To unlock “Groot Canal” players are asked to interrupt a Charger with Groot’s Call to Action in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Chargers include two types of enemies: Ogrodes and Wendigos. Ogrodes can be found in the cave Mantis takes the team into to help Drax. Wendigos are located in Chapter 13 while the team is on the hunt for Fin Fang Foom. Checking what these enemies look like in Peter’s creature compendium will help identify what the monsters look like exactly.
Unfortunately, activating Groot’s Call to Action is not as simple as locating a Charger. A Call to Action symbol appears as a Triangle/Y button above an enemy while playing on consoles. The icon will appear when a Charger’s health has been lowered, and occasionally when it has been staggered. The Charged Shot Perk in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy can help with this.
To try and activate Groot’s Call to Action on a Charger, lower its health significantly (preferably by staggering it beforehand) and then wait for Groot to get close to it. Be on the lookout for the prompt to appear when Groot grabs the enemy by the head to press it immediately. If the encounter is nearly over and Groot hasn’t activated his Call to Action Yet, reload the last checkpoint and try again.
Some may get lucky in the first few attempts, but it will probably take quite a few tries before most players successfully unlock “Groot Canal”. It might be better to make a save before an Ogrode or Wendigo fight and come back to it in between trying to unlock other Trophies/Achievements. Like searching for all of Gamora’s Guardians Collectibles in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
The “Eat it, Rodent” Trophy/Achievement in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is another easy accolade to unlock in between attempting to activate Groot’s Call to Action on a Charger.
