Marvel’s Spider-Man has already received two costumes from Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Insomniac Games adding the Integrated Suit and the Black and Gold suit. While these two suits are featured for most of the film, and the Final Suit only appears in the last seconds of the movie, many instantly became attached to the outfit. A perfect blend of the movie suits and the classic costume from the comics, many are excited to see more of it going forward.

Reddit user AstroDunce was clearly familiar with the suit trailers Insomniac Games has released for other cosmetics, as they perfectly replicated them with their fakeout video. For starters, the logo for Spider-Man: Remastered is seen in the bottom right corner, with the “inspired by” section also present in the top right. The fan even includes the fine print at the bottom of this thumbnail, with the “captured on PS5” text and the copyright details present on the mock-up. The suit is visible in all its glory, boasting the traditional spider symbol and shiny blue textures.
After players click on the post and get beyond the thumbnail, they will see the PlayStation Studios animation, allowing them to be faked out for even longer. However, as soon as the animation plays out, fans will realize they have been trolled. The classic Rick Roll method is used, with the old trick likely getting the best of a lot of viewers. While plenty of comments show players venting their frustration at the fakeout, the post has nearly 5,000 upvotes, showing that many appreciated the effort AstroDunce put into their trolling.
While it remains to be seen if any more costumes will come to the original Marvel’s Spider-Man game, the Final Suit from Spider-Man: No Way Home would likely be the costume added if another were to be released. If it does not come to the original game, though, it seems all but guaranteed to be introduced alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, as all the MCU costumes thus far are available in Insomniac’s games, While there are plenty of suits fans want in the Marvel’s Spider-Man sequel, Tom Holland’s latest Spidey outfit is a must-have.
Though fans have shared plenty of funny Marvel’s Spider-Man clips over the years, this one is truly unique. For those upset about the trickery, double-checking to make sure Insomniac has actually announced a new costume before getting excited would be a smart move.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is available now on PS4 and PS5.
