Marvel Snap recently had an update that added new cards and features. It was also meant to fix a variety of problems that players were experiencing within the game. However, some Marvel Snap players still reported some glitches, like receiving empty Collector’s Caches. The latest known bug seems to involve the Black Panther card.

Black Panther’s ability is that his power, which is 4, gets doubled upon reveal. However, according to Polygon’s Clayton Ashley, the hero’s power can rise to over 689,000 because of his interaction with Wong, Ironheart, and Odin on Onslaught’s Citadel. Here’s a quick explanation: Wong has an Ongoing ability that doubles the On Reveal abilities of every card played in the same zone, and this effect doubles when he’s played on Onslaught’s Citadel. Ironheart gives three random cards +1 power, while Odin activates the On Reveal abilities of cards in the same zone. With this combination, Black Panther’s total power shot up to around 689,730. Other players reported that his power would reach millions in other locations, like Kamar-Taj, Lechuguilla, and Limbo.
The Marvel Snap bug is both confusing and funny, mostly because the total power didn’t make sense if players made the effort to compute everything. As of writing, developer Second Dinner has not addressed this issue yet. The team’s last update on Twitter was after they fixed Marvel Snap’s Collector’s Cache glitch.
Hopefully the Black Panther bug gets resolved soon as it could prove unfair for people who had to play against an overpowered card and lose rank points because of it. For Marvel Snap players who have these specific cards in their deck, it might be wise to not play them until Second Dinner fixes the bug to ensure fair games. There are other cards that go well with Black Panther, and it might be fun to try them for now.
But in case they face other players who are abusing this bug, it might be best to have Shang-Chi. He could easily destroy an overpowered Black Panther card.
Marvel Snap is available now for Mobile and PC.
