Just for example, Marvel Snap is currently in its second season following its official launch. The first season was themed after Spider-Man and the new card that it introduced was Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The new and ongoing season of Marvel Snap is themed after Black Panther, coinciding with the release of the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The new card for Marvel Snap during this season is, naturally, Black Panther.

As shared on Marvel Snap Zone, the January season of Marvel Snap is tentatively planned to be Kazar-themed. Kazar is a card already available in Marvel Snap, which players likely already know, but the season is still largely based on the Savage Land-based superhero and the Savage Land itself. The promo image that was shared shows that not only will Kazar’s card be featured in the season, but so will the X-Men’s Storm. Her variant will feature tattered Savage Land garb.
There will be a new card for the season, of course. Since it can’t be Kazar as he’s already available, it’s only fitting that the new card will be Zabu instead. Zabu is a sabertooth tiger and a loyal friend and ally to Kazar, often traveling with him across the world and realities as necessary. A previous Zabu-related leak hinted it could be a 5 Energy/7 Power card that will take the place of another discarded card. But more recent information indicates it’s now a 3 Energy/2 Power Ongoing card that makes all 4-cost cards cost 2 Energy less.
In addition to Kazar and Storm variants, as well as the Zabu card and its own variant, there are also three different icons and two card back that are part of the leak. The January 2023 season would obviously be packed full of Credits, Gold, Boosters, and other standard Marvel Snap rewards, too.
Second Dinner’s plans could always change between now and January, or these leaks could be inaccurate. If it isn’t the Kazar season, it will be something else. That’s part of what makes Marvel Snap so alluring. It may not release massive updates frequently, or at least it hasn’t yet, but the monthly support for the card game keeps it fresh and ensures the meta is constantly shifting.
Marvel Snap is available now on PC and mobile devices.
