As seen in the trailer courtesy of GameSpot below, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite also shows a return of the prior entry’s roster recruit in Zero, with Mega Man X crossing paths with the character from his familiar shooter universe. Not to mention, there are some areas shown off that could potentially be stages for the game such as Tony Stark’s Avengers Tower.
As displayed in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s story trailer, a group of game’s heroes presumably led by Captain America have subdued Thanos, with the Mad Titan’s daughter Gamora convincing him to help them find the Infinity Stones, which are likely the source of power that can take down Ultron Sigma. Eventually, those fighting against the hybrid of Ultron and Sigma’s plans for domination cross paths with the Wakandan king T’Challa, AKA Black Panther, and he agrees to join in on the fight.
While many Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite fans are likely to welcome these new characters with open arms, it’s interesting to see that only two – Thanos and Black Panther – were found on the roster leak that came out several days ago, with Gamora being absent. That said, though, several of the other predictions could come to pass, and the potential addition of Star-Lord would create an all-out Guardians of the Galaxy reunion in the game.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 19, 2017.
