Responding to a fan’s question on Twitter that eloquently asked “who they could bang,” Michael replied with an answer of “So many.” Then, the Mass Effect: Andromeda producer followed it up by saying that the aforementioned banging was good.

Of course, the question itself is a passing reference to a popular Commander Shepard meme which cut together bits of his voice to show the galaxy’s most heroic figure ending most conversations with the phrase “We’ll bang, OK?” Now that the protagonist mantle has been passed to the Ryder twins, it seems like either family member will have no shortage of romantic prospects to court as they find a suitable place to settle down on within the Andromeda Galaxy. BioWare has a strong history of unique romance options ( like the Iron Bull, for instance), so one can expect the protagonist to plant the figurative flag of humanity with some never-before-seen species.
Most intrepid Romeos (or Juliets) will first want to take a look at their own squad, which remains somewhat of a mystery for the time being. The ship will be driven by a Salarian pilot, and it has been revealed that an ex-cop named Liam and an Asari named PeeBee will feature as crew members. Aside of that, the galaxy is sure to hold plenty of surprises, though it’s clear some of the new species are destined to be friendlier than others. As can be expected in a modern BioWare title, traditional gender roles likely won’t play a factor into which romantic interests will be available.
Fans eager to jump into their N7 boots don’t have much longer to wait until news about the beta drops from BioWare, who recently confirmed that the title won’t feature a season’s pass. While it’s not known when the multiplayer beta will launch, Michael Gamble has previously confirmed that the multiplayer component of the game will connect with the main game’s storyline, though fans who don’t want to dive into multiplayer can still access those same plot progressions via the single player experience, meaning nobody will miss out on any content.
