This week’s rotation brings the usual lineup of priority missions and challenges to Marvel’s Avengers now that the Red Room Takeover event has concluded. Some players may have been hoping that the Cosmic Cube event would start with the first week of June, but it looks like heroes are going to have to wait a little longer to learn more about those activities. For now, players can focus on racking up some extra XP with this week’s challenges to continue climbing the ranks through the Champion System....

Ultimately, the All-Access Weekend has provided an incentive for players to get their hands on Marvel’s Avengers before the upcoming War for Wakanda DLC releases. With many fans either returning to Marvel’s Avengers or giving it a fair shot while it is free, the game’s player count has seen spikes and rises on different platforms. Recent data shows how Marvel’s Avengers’ concurrent player-base on Steam has been affected by the free-to-play weekend....

Marvel’s Avengers is no stranger to switching up the outfit of its characters while utilizing the comics, which in some cases can date as far back to 1960, such as the retro Hawkeye suit that is now available. Not only is Venom confirmed to feature as an antagonist, but players are interested to see if the parasite will attach itself to Miles or Peter during the story. One aspect of the Symbiote that has not been discussed as much are its weaknesses, and the sequel could see Peter crafting some gadgets based around the alien material’s flaws to help in his fights against it....

With Spider-Man 2, gamers are expecting Insomniac to innovate on the foundation the first game laid, and it will likely do that. However, that does not mean the sequel should not retain all the good things from its predecessors. One of the interesting things Insomniac did was give Miles Morales his own game, which let gamers see New York City through the eyes of Peter’s protégé. It was a refreshing twist on the Spider-Man formula, so Spider-Man 2 should feature a Miles Morales-specific DLC where gamers can spend some time with Miles without Peter getting in the way....

During Sony’s PlayStation Showcase in Fall 2021, Insomniac revealed that a sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man was coming, alongside the announcement that the studio was also making a game based on Wolverine. There was plenty to speculate about the game following this announcement, from the possible mechanics of playing as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales to the reveal that long-time Spider-Man arch-enemy Venom would be appearing.
