In a new and very short trailer, BioWare highlights the many bonuses and content players receive for pre-ordering Mass Effect Andromeda. Gear includes the Deep Space Explorer armor for either Ryder twin, the gold plated Nomad vehicle skin, and a multiplayer booster pack which contains five 50% XP boosters. None of this information is very surprising considering it was announced and posted months ago on EA Origin, though this is the first time fans are seeing them rendered in-game....

The Sanctum Sanctorum, with its iconic red window on the top floor, has featured in many of the Marvel films to date, and it serves as the personal residence of Doctor Strange and formerly as the headquarters of the Defenders and the New Avengers. According to lore, the location itself is a focal point for mystical energies with a nerve center of dragon key lines running beneath its foundations, which are the veins of magic running through the Earth....

The issue with Spider-Man DLC for Marvel’s Avengers has always been its PlayStation exclusivity. When the original announcement broke that Spider-Man DLC would be for PlayStation players only, PC and Xbox fans felt left out. Crystal Dynamics studio head Scott Amos originally said the reason Spider-Man would be PlayStation exclusive was because of the “relationship that PlayStation and Marvel have,” but it didn’t stop some fans from voicing their frustrations....

It wasn’t until weeks later that the game was revealed to be a multiplayer looter-brawler using the games-as-service design philosophy. Speaking with Screen Rant, Marvel’s Avengers senior game designer Scott Walters revealed Crystal Dynamics’ current plan for Spider-Man. If everything remains on schedule, Spider-Man will be delivered to PlayStation players in 2021. There’s no specific release date available at the moment, but 2021 is currently the set schedule for the DLC character’s release. However, Walters framed the response with a lot of caveats, starting the statement with, “In terms of what we can say now,” and later adding that the DLC’s 2021 release, “is still on track....

The first test for Marvel’s Avengers’ DLC was the recently released Kate Bishop DLC. Adding a new character and new story content to the game, there was hope that Marvel’s Avengers Kate Bishop DLC would set a precedent for high quality post-launch content for the game. Unfortunately, it appears to have been mostly a misfire, and while the expansion certainly has some redeeming qualities, overall it doesn’t bode well for Marvel’s Avengers’ future...

The reveal trailer is exclusively available on IGN’s YouTube channel and while it doesn’t feature any gameplay, it does give fans an idea of how Spider-Man will fight when he does arrive as a playable character. The pre-rendered trailer sees several Inhuman prisoners being captured by AIM (the main villainous organization in Marvel’s Avengers) and loaded into a truck, prompting Spider-Man to swing in and take out the AIM grunts....

The news came from an official tweet that the double vinyl would be produced by Mondo, an online retailer specializing in pop culture and collectibles. Disc one is a full-length album from the fictitious Star-Lord band while disc two is the original video game soundtrack. The album is currently available for pre-order via Mondo’s online store. It sells for $35 and is limited to one per customer. The orders are expected to ship in December....

Midnight Suns has a solid premise at its heart, and its card-based combat system looks like a nice twist on Firaxis’ usual tactical game design. However, there’s a notable potential flaw in the combat system. The Midnight Suns gameplay trailer suggested that players can only make parties of three heroes at a time, and that one of those heroes will always be the Hunter, a custom superhero protagonist designed by players at the start of Midnight Suns....

The cancellation of Daybreak Games’ Marvel MMO is just one ill-fated Marvel themed MMO in a long line of shuttered MMOs. Marvel has never seemed to crack the code on what makes an addicting MMO that players will keep coming back to. While DC fans have been able to experience their universe through DC Universe Online, Marvel has been struggling to deliver a similar experience. The IP has been able to deliver some quality single-player titles with Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, but the online space has always worked against it and Marvel fans have not gotten the expansive online community that they deserve....

One of the most popular was the Punisher’s signature white on black skull emblem, which cropped up on patches, shirts and flags. Some were on officially licensed Marvel merchandise, some on copyright-infringing knock-offs. While some sections of the games take place indoors and in the Raft - a super-maximum security prison, the majority of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are set in the open city. While it may be awhile before the sequel gets released, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 should take elements from the previous games’ versions of New York and update them using current-gen hardware.
