Following yesterday’s shocking Spider-Man announcement, PlayStation has once again announced even more exclusive content coming to Marvel’s Avengers. In a new blog post, Crystal Dynamics’ Community & Social Media Manager Andy Wong discussed Community Challenges and character cosmetics. Community challenges tasks players with overcoming a certain goal each month, which then unlocks rewards for all players. Hope was restored a few weeks ago when it was revealed that the first DLC character for Marvel’s Avengers, Kate Bishop, was finally being added to the game on December 8 alongside more content like the Super-Adaptoid boss fight and AIM Cloning Lab. With Square Enix focused on saving the game through these DLC updates, this appeared to be a big step forward for the loot-based game. The vast majority of playable characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 are unlocked by playing through the story. However, there are four characters in the game that are unlocked through another method entirely. To unlock the four hidden characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, players will have to participate in the Infinity Trials, which themselves are unlocked by progressing through the story. After unlocking the Infinity Trials, players simply need to complete them and do well on them to progress through their Rift Grids....

The New York State Police reported over the weekend that troopers, working alongside Cape Vincent Ambulance and Fire, recovered a dead body from the St. Lawrence River near the northern town of Cape Vincent where she lived. The body was later identified as 61-year-old Mara, a native of Syracuse, who authorities currently believe was swimming before she died, according to WSYR News. The investigation into Mara’s death remains ongoing. The body of the actress has been turned over to the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office for a full autopsy....

In the updated guidelines released on Monday, the AAP strongly recommends the return to classrooms for all students, but they emphasized the importance of getting students vaccinated. “We need to prioritize getting children back into schools alongside their friends and their teachers—and we all play a role in making sure it happens safely,” said Sonja O’Leary, MD, chair of the AAP Council on School Health. “The pandemic has taken a heartbreaking toll on children, and it’s not just their education that has suffered but their mental, emotional and physical health....
